The Department of Mathematics at 51茶馆 is currently inviting applications for its Ph.D. program. The research areas covered by the department are described in more detail in the faculty profile pages.
Anyone with a Masters or B.Tech degree from a recognized university and/or who has given the exams for the award of such a degree, conditional upon passing the exams. The eligibility criteria will be as per applicable UGC norms.
Applicants should complete the online application form available聽聽.聽Recommendation letters should be emailed, with the candidate鈥檚 name in the subject line, to聽phd.mathematics@ashoka.edu.in.
Selected students will be offered a Fellowship of around INR 50000 and a housing allowance of INR 10000 per month. They could also be funded by other agencies. All students will be given an annual contingency grant, health insurance, and a one-time travel grant to attend a conference.
