Meetings & Workshops Office

The Meetings and Workshops Office is a joint collaboration of Ashoka Global Research Alliances (AGRA) from 51²è¹Ý, Sonipat, and ICTS, Bengaluru. The Meetings and Workshops Office will host thematic workshops, expert talks, and forums that encourage global academic dialogue.

The Meetings and Workshops Office at 51²è¹Ý is dedicated to fostering vibrant intellectual exchange and transformative collaboration across disciplines. Our mission is to convene interdisciplinary meetings and workshops that transcend traditional academic boundaries.

The programmes are designed to catalyse creative solutions to complex global challenges, advance the liberal arts tradition, and enrich the university’s scholarly community. Through these efforts, we aspire to position 51²è¹Ý as a hub for intellectual curiosity, rigorous inquiry, and meaningful impact in the broader world.

In its inaugural year (2025–2026), the office will host two flagship 2-week workshops under the ICTS–51²è¹Ý partnership in January 2026 and July 2026 in Mathematical Sciences and Cosmology and Astro-particle Physics, respectively. For more information on upcoming workshops and application processes, email us at meetingsandworkshops@ashoka.edu.in.

UPCOMING MEETINGS AND WORKSHOPS at 51²è¹Ý

Topics in Hodge Theory

Dates: 5-16 January 2026

Venue: 51²è¹Ý, Sonipat, Haryana

Organisers:

  • Alessandro Ghigi, Università di Pavia, Italy
  • A. J. Parameswaran, Kerala School of Mathematics, Kozhikode, India
  • Carolina Tamborini, Universität Duisburg-Essen, Germany
  • Elisabetta Colombo, Università di Milano, Italy
  • Manish Kumar, Indian Statistical Institute, Bengaluru, India

About the workshop: Hodge theory is a fundamental branch of algebraic geometry, with strong connections to other fields like algebraic groups, differential geometry, number theory, etc. The last years have witnessed a great advance of Hodge theory: solutions to long-standing problems, the opening of new ones, and the development of new techniques.

The aim of this meeting is to bring together experts and researchers working in algebraic geometry to discuss and present the latest developments in the field of Hodge theory and to create a good environment for starting new collaborations.

All selected participants will need to attend the entire two-week duration of the workshop.
