The future is visual; in 2020, Forbes projected approximately 1.1 billion global subscriptions to online video streaming services. As of last year, this number had increased to close to 1.8 billion. There鈥檚 a great appetite for impactful digital content worldwide backed by a thriving industry of content creators who use everyday technology to make extraordinary digital stories. If you want to make great video content, then this course is for you. In a world where smartphones and the internet are our daily superheroes, this isn鈥檛 your average course, it鈥檚 real-world, future-forward, and project-based, ensuring maximum learning outcomes for aspiring digital storytellers. Beyond tech exposure, delve into crafting gripping characters and creating sophisticated storylines.
This course is for high schoolers (Grades 9-12) who aspire to become adept digital storytellers, by crafting compelling narratives, writing impactful scripts, and creating digital stories that speak to a wide variety of audiences.

This course is designed for all high schoolers who want to deepen their understanding and knowledge of impactful digital storytelling and learn hands-on content creation skills and techniques using accessible technology.
Prerequisites: High level of proficiency in written and verbal English communication. You will be required to submit your latest marksheet in the application form.

Nakul Singh Sawhney directed his first film in 2005, 鈥榃ith a little help from my friends鈥�, which won the award for the 2nd best film at the 60 Seconds to Fame film festival in Chennai.
He then completed a course in TV direction at the FTII, Pune, during 2005-06. At FTII, he directed 鈥楢gaurav鈥� and 鈥楿ndecided鈥� which won awards for 2nd Best Film and Best Director respectively at the Hyderabad International Film Festival.
His first independent documentary film was 鈥極nce upon a time in Chheharta鈥�; on the history of the working class movement of Chheharta, Amritsar. He went on to work with Mr. Saeed Mirza on the feature film, 鈥楨k Tho Chance鈥� where he directed the 鈥榤aking of鈥� the film and also worked as the post-production supervisor of the film.
Nakul is the founder of the film and media collective in West UP, ChalChitra Abhiyaan, which trains youth from marginalised communities in filmmaking and media. The collective brings to light the voices of the marginalised in their own voices through videos. The collective also extensively screens films in villages and townships of west UP.

Class participation will be assessed based on your active engagement in live sessions, contributions to discussion forums, and involvement in Teaching Fellow-led activities. Letters of Appreciation will be issued for select students based on exceptional performance in the course.
This programme聽 is administered through an online platform. Students are expected to have a foundational understanding of computer usage, including but not limited to sending emails and conducting Internet searches. Consistent access to the Internet and a computer that aligns with the are also requisite for participation in the programme.

During the activities conducted in class, I kept getting the headspace wrong because my object was taller than me. Nakul sir advised me that it’s better to stand myself on a tool to get a better angle. I鈥檝e used this advice throughout the course since then.
