Ph.D. Pennsylvania State UniversitySuraj Shekhar is an Assistant Professor of Economics at 51²è¹Ý. He completed a masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and he obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining 51²è¹Ý, he was a post doctoral research fellow at the African Institute of Financial Markets and Risk Management, University of Cape Town. Suraj’s primary research interest is in theoretical microeconomics. He is particularly interested in models of asymmetric information (reputation, signalling, cheap talk models). He also does some empirical research on topics related to social networks and development economics.
