Sramana Majumdar

Sramana Majumdar studies identity, violence and intergroup relations. She completed her PhD as a UGC Senior Research Fellow from the Department of Psychology, Jamia Millia Islamia where she worked on exposure to political conflict and experiences of collective violence among the  youth in Kashmir. She was a Fulbright-Nehru Fellow at the Hiatt School of Psychology, Clark University. Presently she is working on intergroup contact, prejudice and identity performance in computer-mediated communication, specifically looking at how interactions on digital media shape offline prejudices. She has previously taught at the School of Human Studies, Ambedkar University, Delhi  and the School of International Studies, Symbiosis University, Pune. Sramana has worked with several organizations as a psychometrician and research advisor on developing intervention based insights on gender, health and the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
