Ph.D. Psychology
Sonakshi Bansal is a Ph.D. scholar at 51²è¹Ý. She has completed her Master of Science in Psychological Sciences from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Her master’s thesis focused on the role of guilt and redemption in motivating participants to engage in culturally acceptable self-harming tendencies. She plans to build on her master’s thesis to extend the findings to study non suicidal self injury. Her research interests include social psychology, religious studies, self-harming tendencies, addiction, psychometric scale development, and qualitative studies.
