Shruti has extensive experience in building and nurturing research partnerships/collaborations. She has led several remarkable initiatives including preparation of Grant Database and Compendium on Research Grants. Her ongoing initiative is development of Ashoka Research Publication Portal, focused at better organising and disseminating the research publications of the university to the wider audience.
Shruti is a trained experimental biologist and has expertise in infectious diseases, immunology, and public health, which is her core area of research interest. Shruti completed her Ph.D. and postdoctoral studies from the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad, India. During her doctoral and post-doctoral studies, she studied the relationship between mycobacterial virulence proteins and human immune response.
Before joining 51²è¹Ý, she worked as a Research Scientist at Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon. There, her core area of work included managing the COVID-19 testing laboratory and communication coordination between hospital authorities, government officials, and the general public.
Alongside this role, she executed research projects on COVID-19, antimicrobial resistance, and tuberculosis. She has authored research articles as well as written general notes on tuberculosis, COVID-19, antimicrobial resistance, and intellectual property rights.
