S. Satish Kumar holds a PhD in Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies from the University of Georgia, where they also served as a part-time instructor for the Institute of African American Studies and the Department of Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies. Kumar received their M.Phil and M.A. degrees in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University and taught there as a guest instructor in the Centre for Studies in African Literatures and Cultures.
They are the author of Counterpoints in Fractal Modernities: Essays in Plural Postcolonialities (2025), published with Peter Lang.ÌýIdentifying the colonial as an overarching systemic force that continues to shape our lives and worlds, their book thinks through decolonization as a striving towards dignity, security, and equity across categories of identity, experience, and knowledge.
