Ph.D. University of PennsylvaniaPramath Raj Sinha is the Founder and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of 51²è¹Ý and a Founding Senior Partner of Jetri, an education-focused strategy and implementation firm.
He was the Founding Dean of the Indian School of Business, one of the world’s top-ranked business schools, and a Partner at McKinsey and Company. He founded Harappa, an online-first learning institution focused on building skills critical to workplace success in the twenty-first century, now part of upGrad. Over more than two decades, he has been instrumental in setting up a wide spectrum of change-based higher education initiatives across India, including a postgraduate management program for women, an entrepreneurship fellowship for the Himalayan region, and a design university for the built environment.
He has authored two books: An Idea Whose Time Has Come: The Story of the Indian School of Business (2011) and Learn, Don’t Study (2023). In 2025, he was inducted into the Education Leaders Forum Fellowship in recognition of his lifetime contributions to education.
He holds a PhD and an MSE from the University of Pennsylvania and a BTech from IIT Kanpur, where he was honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2018.
