Worked for more than 30 years in Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune. Worked as a Visiting Professor at IIT, Gandhinagar, and IISER, Berhampur. Among many research accomplishments, he has provided leadership in the indigenous building of the Bahart Forecast System model ( a state-of-the-art global weather forecast model) from India
