Parmeshwar Dewangan

Parmeshwar (Param) received his undergraduate degree in Physics from the Center for Basic Sciences at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, and completed his postgraduate studies in Physics with Astrophysics at both the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) and Savitribai Phule Pune University. He also pursued a research project at the Australian National University through the Future Research Talent Award.

At 51²è¹Ý, he is working in Cognitive Neuroscience under the supervision of Dr. Dipanjan Ray at the MBBS Lab, Department of Psychology. His research focuses on embodiment in virtual avatars, designing and conducting experiments in immersive VR. He develops interactive VR environments in Unity and uses physiological measurement tools to study self-perception and body ownership.

Outside of academia, he has a keen fondness for travel and enjoys exploring his creative side through poetry writing. In the evenings, he can often be found at the gym or sports complex at 51²è¹Ý.
