Nitin Sethi is the founding editor of The Reporters’ Collective, India’s only newsroom focused on investigative journalism. He has written and investigated for over 25 years on the political economy, public finance, environment, climate change, and development. He advises and is on the board of several non-profits working on sustainability, democratic rights, and accountability, including SAFAR and SRUTI. He has earlier worked in senior editorial positions at The Hindu, The Business Standard, Times of India, Scroll.in, and the Down To Earth magazine. He has previously co-partnered at Land Conflict Watch, a private data and research firm focused on land and resources. He has an abiding interest in photography as a medium and in the societal, economic, and political changes in India’s northeast.
