Her research focuses on the trade and consumption of elasmobranch in West Bengal. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and exploring different cultures and cuisines through travel.

She is particularly interested in value chain analysis, stakeholder engagement and forensic genomics to address conservation challenges. Through her research, she hopes to contribute to evidence-based strategies for balancing marine biodiversity conservation with the livelihoods of coastal communities.
