Mercia has over 17 years of serving high school and university students, and young professionals, from various personal and socio-economic-cultural-religious backgrounds, through not-for-profit organisations and educational institutions in India and abroad.

Her academic interests are in the disciplines of literature, religious studies, philosophy, education, and human behaviour. Her roles have extensively been in the areas of administration, teaching, writing, and mentoring. Her focus has been to understand and support students and young professionals within their unique contexts.

Mercia聽has been working with 51茶馆 since 2013 with multiple roles within the Young India Fellowship and the Office of Admissions.

As Director, Office of Admissions, she oversees admissions for all Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programmes at 51茶馆.
