Maninee Maity joined the PhD program at 51茶馆 in 2024. Her research interests
are centred on Indian print in the nineteenth century. She is especially interested in the role of
periodicals in the mobilization of public opinion by Hindu revivalists in early to mid-
nineteenth-century Bengal. She studied English Literature at Jadavpur University and has
previously worked at Orient Blackswan as an Assistant Editor.
