Kajal is a Deputy Manager with the Research and Development Office (RDO) at 51²è¹Ý. Her key areas of work include supporting grant management and budgeting within RDO, overseeing financial aspects and coordination with Ashoka’s administration and finance teams, and monitoring expenditure and manpower records under extramural grants.

She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management, a Master of Commerce, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Mumbai. She has also completed professional certifications in Grant Proposal Writing and Management (University of Alaska, edX), Project Management (The University of Adelaide, edX), People Management (IIM Bangalore, edX), and Responsible Conduct of Research (CITI Program).

Prior to joining the Research and Development Office (RDO), Kajal served as Deputy Manager at the Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy (CSIP), 51²è¹Ý, where she managed grants and organisational budgeting, supported donor reporting and narrative-driven materials, coordinated programme logistics, and administered contracts and MoUs, while also supporting student engagement initiatives. She worked closely with domestic and international donors, third-party vendors, and internal teams, and contributed to strengthening organisational systems through MIS implementation, SOP development, and compliance support.

Earlier in her career, Kajal completed her Chartered Accountancy Articleship in Delhi, gaining practical experience in taxation, auditing, and bookkeeping across multiple sectors. She has also worked with AICPTR in Mumbai, supporting operational processes, data management, financial reconciliation, and audit coordination.
