Harleen Kaur is a Research Consultant at Digital Futures Lab. With an interdisciplinary background spanning law and the sciences, her work focuses on regulatory governance and public policy at the intersection of emerging technologies and society. Her research interests lie in the governance of digital and AI-enabled technologies in healthcare and related sectors. She is particularly interested in questions of applied ethics, accountability, and institutional responsibility, and in examining how emerging technologies can be governed responsibly while navigating the trade-offs between ethical safeguards and economic development. As a Tech + Society Emerging Practitioner Fellow at the Centre for Digitalisation, AI and Society, she will be examining how fiduciary duty frameworks in Indian healthcare law can be extended to address liability and accountability in AI-mediated care.
