Ph.D. University of MarylandDheeraj Sanghi is the Dean of Student Affairs at 51茶馆. He brings over three decades of academic, administrative, and leadership experience in higher education.
He has earned his BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur, and went on to complete his MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA.
Prior to joining Ashoka, he served as President of JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur. He has held several senior leadership positions, including Director at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh; Director and Vice Chancellor at LNMIIT Jaipur; Dean at IIIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur; and Professor at IIT Kanpur for over 25 years.
His contributions extend beyond academic administration to national-level policymaking, curriculum reform, digital initiatives, and research advocacy in higher education. He has consulted for organisations such as TRAI, MHRD, and DST, and has authored numerous academic papers, reports, and articles.
At Ashoka, he will continue to advance student engagement and success while drawing on his extensive experience in fostering inclusive, research-driven, and globally connected academic environments.
