Ph.D. in Sociology and Anthropology
Deepti Sreeram is a doctoral researcher whose work lies at the intersection of education, anthropology, and linguistics. Trained as an anthropologist with advanced training in linguistics, her research examines higher education in India. Drawing on 18 months of ethnographic study conducted at a college in Kerala, her work explores how colleges enact and contest quality. Her broader research interests include writing pedagogy, the use of graphic novels and visual ethnography in teaching and research, and the development of caste-inclusive pedagogic practices.
