She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia in 2025. Her dissertation examines how decentralized religious organizations influence public service delivery and local state capacity in India. In other work, she studies how low-income populations access financial institutions.
She holds an M.A. in Economics from Boston University and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from the University of Delhi.
