Amit Chandra is the managing director of Bain Capital, India. He has also been a part of the firm鈥檚 Asia leadership team since 2008. Amit has served or is currently serving as a board member of Tata Sons, Genpact, L&T Finance, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Piramal Enterprises, and Tata Investment Corporation. In the not-for-profit space, he has been a trustee of Tata Trusts, a board member of the Akanksha Foundation, a founder and governing board member of 51茶馆, and the chairman of Give India.

He was named a World Economic Forum young global leader in 2007. He also featured in the聽Forbes聽Asia鈥檚 Heroes of Philanthropy list in 2016, along with his wife Archana. Amit received a BTech in electrical engineering from VJTI, Mumbai University. He earned an MBA from Boston College and was recognised as the school’s distinguished alumni in 2007.
