Ajeya has recently completed her PhD from the Department of History University of Delhi. For her thesis, 鈥淏etween Region and Patronage: Interpreting the Visual Culture of 膧lampur in the Eastern Deccan, she contextualised the site of 膧lampur within the art historical traditions of the B膩d膩mi Calukyas.
She is currently a CIAR Fellow at 51茶馆. Her research examines the relationship between the early shrines of 膧lampur and Dak峁峁嘺 K艒sala, located in the present-day states of Telangana and Chhattisgarh, respectively. An extension of her PhD, it seeks to explore the artistic connections between the two traditions and the networks that facilitated them.
Ajeya鈥檚 research interests lie in the art historical traditions of India and South Asia.
