MA English Programme

51茶馆鈥檚 Scholarships policy seeks to help students pursue this programme through scholarship grants toward their Tuition Fee and Residence and Meal Costs based on the financial need of the student. The scholarships granted could range from a 25% waiver on the Tuition Fee up to a 100% waiver on the Tuition Fee, Residence and Meals Costs.

Fee Structure

MA English Programme Fee Structure (August 2026 Intake)

The Fee Structure of the MA in Economics programme starting in August 2026 has the following components (In INR):

Note: The Residence Cost for the Second Year (AY 2027-2028) is subject to revision in consonance with inflation. In the last three years, our fee has gone up by approximately 5% to 8% annually. However,聽 this percentage is not fixed and is subject to change.

51茶馆 provides Residence and Meal facilities for MA Students, on an optional basis. If you opt-in for Residence as provided by 51茶馆, please note the following details:

• A Refundable Security Deposit of INR 20,000 (One-time payment made at the time of acceptance of offer of admissions, and to be refunded at the time of graduation from 51茶馆 or withdrawal of admission, whichever is earlier. Please note, this deposit is applicable for all students irrespective of opting for Residence or not)
• Meal Cost Security Deposit of INR 25,000聽(One-time payment made at the time of acceptance of offer of admissions, and to be refunded at the time of graduation from Ashoka聽University or withdrawal of admission, whichever is earlier)
• A fixed minimum amount of INR 10,000 per semester will be charged toward meals and dining facilities at the end of each semester (the fixed minimum amount for one year is INR 20,000). Any meals consumed beyond this fixed minimum cost will be charged on a pro-rata basis (the total cost for all meals per day amounts to INR 395) at the end of each semester through the meal coupon system
• In case, the stay duration extends due to any reason, residence fee will be charged additionally.

 

Note: Masters students can also opt for Off-campus single occupancy; only if there is availability. M.A. Students who choose to not opt-in for residence can avail of meals on campus through the coupon system and/or pay on purchase from all vendors. If any MA student requests & avails for on-campus housing, they would be charged at par with the UG hostel fee.
