2-Week Summer Programme at 51²è¹Ý

About the Programme

From Ancient Civilization to Global Power,†a two-week immersive summer programme to be held at 51²è¹Ý from 6–19 July 2026. This programme will be offered for the first time in Summer 2026, bringing together leading scholars, practitioners, and policy experts to explore India’s historical evolution and its emergence as a major global actor.

Through expert lectures, guided discussions, and field visits, participants will trace India’s cultural, political, and economic transformations across centuries—linking ancient civilizational legacies with contemporary geopolitics and global engagement. The programme combines classroom learning with experiential components such as heritage walks, museum visits, and engagement with primary sources to deepen understanding of India’s place in world history.

Students will have the opportunity to learn from distinguished speakers including leading historians, international relations scholars, former diplomats, and policy experts from institutions such as 51²è¹Ý, the Takshashila Institution, and global academic and policy networks.

Exploring India's long civilizational arc across philosophy, religion, art, trade, and cultural exchange
Studying empires, maritime trade, colonialism, and intellectual exchange in global history
Engaging with primary sources, museums, heritage sites, and archival material
Developing a deeper perspective on India's past, present, and evolving role in global affairs

  • Open to Indian nationals and international students
  • Pursuing undergraduate and graduate students (currently enrolled)

Fees - 3000 USD

The Program Fee includes -

  • On-campus twin sharing AC accommodation, with access to infirmary, sports facilities, library, laundry and other amenities
  • Daily 4 Meals (including breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner)
  • Daily Campus - Delhi (and back) shuttle service with no extra charge
  • Field visits
  • Certificate of completion.
