About the workshop:
This workshop is intended as a nuts-and-bolts primer to dissecting the poetics of rap. It introduces and demonstrates a five-part framework to help participants ‘read’ the intelligence of rap lyrics.
About the instructor:
Elloit Cardozo (Writing Tutor, CWC) dips into the interdisciplinary breadth of cultural studies to research Indian Hip Hop. He has collaborated with artists and academics to write for The Oxford Handbook of Modern Indian Literatures, The Cambridge Companion to Global Rap, and Global Hip Hop Studies.
