Climate Fresk Workshop
Office of Sustainability and Rooted Cities
- This event has passed.
Dear fellow Ashokans,
We are pleased to share that the Office of Sustainability, 51²è¹Ý will be hosting a Climate Fresk workshop on March 10th, from 2 PM-5PM in collaboration with Rooted Cities. It is open to all current students, alumni and staff members to join.
Started by YIF alums (Batch of 2020) Anshuman Singh Sisodia, Saloni Goel and Rashmi Sharma, Rooted Cities is a citizen-centric initiative that invites people to actively participate in shaping cities where both human and non-human life can thrive together. The initiative aims to create learning spaces, neighbourhood experiences, and workshops that help people reconnect with the places they live in.
They are offering Climate Fresk with other facilitators as one of Rooted cities’ offerings.
Climate Fresk is a globally recognised, interactive learning experience grounded in the scientific findings of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). The workshop uses a collaborative, card-based method that helps students build a clear understanding of climate systems while developing critical thinking, teamwork, and reflection skills.
To date, Climate Fresk has reached over 2.3 million participants worldwide, including students, educators, and professionals.
During the 3-hour session, you will:
Piece together the science of climate change through a collaborative card activity
Build the full climate system step by step with your group
Explore what realistic and meaningful action could look like around you
You will be eligible to train as a Climate Fresk facilitator
The workshop will be facilitated by trained Climate Fresk facilitators and designed to be age-appropriate, balanced, and empowering.
