Varte was born in 2004 in Arunachal Pradesh and belongs to the Bangni community. Raised in a loving home with a close-knit circle of family and friends, she completed her schooling in Arunachal before moving to Tuljapur, Maharashtra, for higher studies. Now 21, she enjoys exploring sociology, reading, writing, and occasionally photography. While she is still uncertain about what the future holds, she hopes it is bright and full of purpose. Through the Young India Fellowship, Varte envisions herself contributing meaningfully to her community by amplifying voices and narratives that have long been overlooked in mainstream discourse. She hopes to use this opportunity to deepen her understanding of the world and to drive change by making marginalised stories more visible.
