Taniya Perween comes from a Naxal-affected village in Munger, Bihar. She holds an undergraduate degree in Geography from R.D. & D.J. College, Munger University. She has nearly six years of experience, including internships and professional work in the social sector, particularly in the field of education. Taniya has worked on girls’ empowerment and has served as a facilitator and trainer, training government school teachers at the DIET (District Institute of Education and Training) level. She is also passionate about writing Hindi poetry, especially on themes of motivation and empowerment. Through the Young India Fellowship, she aims to promote women’s leadership and economic independence in society.
