Samra Iqbal is a graduate of St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, where she majored in English Literature. Alongside her academic pursuits, she has been actively involved in civil society work and student organisations. Her year-long tenure at DU Beat provided her with her first experience in student journalism. This exposure sparked her interest in documenting and reporting on various emergent forms of public expression, particularly those of the marginalised. On lazy weekends, she likes to watch films and try her hands at photography. Through YIF she hopes to get exposure to various disciplines that help in strengthening her interdisciplinary understanding. Samra hopes to take away something from not just the different aspects of the YIF, but also from the diverse cohort that she is excited to be a part of.
