Pallavi’s research interests lie in social inequalities, environmental politics, and developmental paradigms. She is particularly drawn to examining how structural inequalities shape everyday experiences and to reimagining development through inclusive frameworks. She is currently interested in the sociological dimensions of sustainable food and consumption practices and their relationship to social hierarchies. Pallavi is fond of photography and is an avid culinary enthusiast. She also likes to watch documentaries and enjoys reading American literature. Pallavi believes that the Young India Fellowship provides an opportunity for her to tie her academic and creative interests, in collaborative ways, to engage meaningfully with questions of equity and impact.
