Navigating the Himalayan diaspora, Darshan encountered both intriguing opportunities and challenges related to education and health within the socio-economic landscape of tribal communities. He believes that the Himalayas, being ecologically fragile and highly sensitive, require carefully formulated development policies grounded in robust research—particularly in the socio-economic sphere. He has an undergraduate degree in Humanities from Kumaun University, Nainital, and a Master’s in Economics. Other than these academic pursuits, he loves playing table tennis and basketball. In his leisure time, he tries his hand at Hindi poetry and digital illustrations and loves reading Hindi literature. Darshan seeks to refresh his professional goals and personal interests through the Young India Fellowship, utilizing its interdisciplinary curriculum and creative environment. He looks forward to engaging with Ashoka’s diverse academic courses and vibrant student community for his growth.
