Bupinder Singh Bali, an educator and writer based in Kashmir, authored Those Who Stayed; The Sikhs of Kashmir (Amaryllis, 2024), a docu-memoir that sheds light on the Sikhs of Kashmir’s narrative. He’s also worked as an Associate Editor at The UNIverse Journal and a reader at The Masters Review. His works have appeared in various national and international publications. When not working, he spends his time travelling, trekking, writing, storytelling, or hitchhiking, or doing all of these at once. He did an All-India bike trip to raise awareness about rape during the 2012 Nirbhaya protests. At the Young India Fellowship, he wants to learn more, make new friendships and engage constructively, live a cool university life, and be part of a larger picture.
