Anoushka Osazuwa Akhigbe

YIF Class of 2026

BSW, Madras School of Social Work, Chennai

Anoushka completed her 10th and 12th through NIOS while pursuing tennis for five years. A nerve disorder ended her tennis journey, deepening her connection to art and music—passions since age five. She was part of the Crochets and Quavers choir, later performed with Bella Voci, and is now exploring theatre. She loves singing and dreams of performing on big stages. She is currently completing her Bachelor’s in Social Work at Madras School of Social Work and is awaiting final results. She aspires to study law and human rights and work in international rights protection while building an art-based organization that brings about social change. Through the Young India Fellowship, she is seeking an academic space that reignites her love for learning—one that challenges her beyond rote performance. She sees the program as a stepping stone to work at the intersections of art, advocacy, and rights protection.
