Psychotherapist

Fazariya is a dreamer, curious wanderer, and lover of cats. As a trauma-informed psychotherapist and researcher, he explores mental health at the crossroads of marginalization and social justice. Applying a rights-based, anti-oppressive lens, he has worked in advocacy, capacity-building, and policy. He’s particularly interested in how identities, languages, and experiences of marginalization shape access to care and education. Outside work, he enjoys writing, capturing odd little moments, learning new scripts, and occasional treks along beaches or mountains. Through the Young India Fellowship, he hopes to re-look at his discipline through lenses beyond his own—like turning the pages of a familiar book anew—ask better questions, and sit more patiently with the difficult ones, preferably over chaii.
